Mold
undercut
A convex or concave shape that cannot be released from the mold as it is when the molded product is ejected from the mold is called an undercut.
With an undercut, you can't get it out without splitting the mold.
Therefore, the opening direction of the mold can be changed, or the mold can be divided and taken out.
There are methods such as an outer slide for creating a concave shape on the side of the product, an inclined bar for creating a convex shape, and a falling pin.
outside slide
As the mold opens, the slide core slides along the angle of the angular pin, releasing the undercut.
Inclined bar
As it protrudes, the angled bar slides along the angle of the core hole, releasing the undercut.
falling pin
As it protrudes, it protrudes vertically, and the pin tilts due to the step and angle in the core, releasing the undercut.
